Reblum is a portrait retouching application for Windows PC and Mac OS and is designed to make portrait editing as quick and effortless as possible.
To that end, Reblum features just one screen, two styles, a handful of presets, and two manual adjustments. For better or worse, it’s challenging to think how Reblum could be any more straightforward. Furthermore, Reblum runs entirely on your computer, meaning no connection with the cloud or the internet is required.
As a standalone application, you can use Reblum independently of any other software or as a plugin for Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, or Capture One. What is Reblum like to use
Reblum’s minimalistic interface is designed around a specific, narrow purpose and is wonderfully straightforward. Moreover, the interface is highly responsive and feels snappy – particularly compared to other portrait enhancement tools.
However, Reblum’s simplicity can bite. For instance, there were a few occasions where I’d like to have dialed up the processing beyond Reblum’s rainstrained taste. Nor would Reblum open my raw files, thus necessitating raw-JPEG conversion via a secondary application.
Is Reblum any good
Reblum produces attractive results. Many portrait enhancement tools can go overboard, resulting in wax-like skin tones and dehumanized features. In comparison, Reblum’s instantly applied adjustments are conservative and all the more tasteful for it.
What is missing in Reblum
Reblum is a specialized portrait retouching tool; thus, you’ll be unable to adjust exposure, contrast, white balance, or color. As a result, Reblum should be supplemented with a traditional photo editing application.
Alternatives to Reblum
Aperty
Aperty is considerably more expensive than Reblum but also does a lot more. For instance, you can relight your subjects, blur their background, apply digital makeup, and even slim, whiten, and brighten their features. However, Reblum is the faster and cheaper option for straightforward skin retouching.

ON1 Portrait AI offers more features than Reblum and can cost less. Overall, I believe Reblum’s automated modes produce natural-looking results more quickly. Some photo editing applications such as ON1 Photo Raw, Luminar Neo, and ACDSee Ultimate feature built-in portrait retouching and enhancement tools. Furthermore, some of these applications don’t cost proportionately more than Reblum despite being full-blooded photo management and editing studios.

Conclusion
Reblum is well-presented, exceptionally straightforward, and produces attractive, natural-looking results. However, Reblum’s simplicity can work against it.
Specifically, Reblum is entirely dependent on other software. For instance, it cannot open raw files or offer fundamental editing adjustments such as exposure, color, and white balance. Then we get to the price.
Reblum costs more than the feature-rich ON1 Portrait AI. It’s also priced within the range of fully-featured photo editing studios with built-in portrait retouching tools. Thus, as much as you might like Reblum’s output, you might be able to get similar results elsewhere without having to bounce your image between multiple software applications.
Nonetheless, I liked using Reblum because it produced good results with unusual ease and speed. Yet, its simplicity is both a strength and a weakness, and its price places Reblum uncomfortably close to capable alternatives.
